Tracking trouble

The tracker stopped recording partway through.

Nine times out of ten this is a background location or battery setting. Three things to check:

• Set the app's location permission to Always, not "While using the app" — the tracker needs to keep going when your screen is locked.
• Turn off battery optimization or low power mode for the app.
• Don't force-quit the app while an activity's running.

If it happens mid-activity, tap Problem? on the tracker screen. You'll get three ways out: Restart the activity, bring it in from Strava instead, or switch to Manual and type in the right time and distance. Your miles don't have to disappear.

My distance looks wrong.

GPS drifts — indoors, under tree cover, among tall buildings, or on a looping track. Edit the activity and enter the right number, or delete it and re-enter it manually. For anything indoors, use the Indoor tracker instead; it won't fight with GPS at all.

My Strava activities aren't importing.

• Check the Strava connection is authorized. On the two-step link prompt some phones show, choose Strava first, then your browser (e.g. Chrome).
• Turn on Auto import Strava activities in Settings and we'll remind you when there's something new to import.
• Only activities recorded since your last import get offered.

I can't find the Apple Health option.

It's iPhone only. On Android you've got Outdoor, Indoor, Strava and Manual.

Account trouble

My login code never showed up.

Check your spam or junk folder, then tap Send a new code. If it's still nowhere, you may have registered with a different email address — tap Try a different email.

I've somehow ended up with two accounts.

During account setup, tap Merge your old account and verify your old email with a code — your badges, distance and stats carry over. Already past setup? Get in touch and we'll merge them for you.

Notifications and visibility

I'm not getting notifications.

Check these three places, in this order:

• Your phone's notification permission for the app, in your device settings.
• Settings & Info → Notification Settings in the app.
• The bell icon on the specific team's page, if it's one team you're missing updates from.

My activity isn't showing up in my team's feed.

Take a look at Settings & Info → Privacy Settings → Activity sharing. Set to Just me, your activities won't appear in any feed. Set to Private teams, they won't show in featured teams.

The app itself

Something looks broken or out of date.

Check your app store for an update first — that clears up most things. If it's still acting up, grab the version number from the bottom of the app menu and reach out to us. We'll help get things moving again for you.
