Selfies, pets and season extras
Selfies, four-legged training partners, and the bonus extras some seasons throw in.
Scavenger hunts are set up season by season. If you don't see them, your season doesn't include one this time around.
Selfies and galleries
How do I add a photo to an activity?
Tap Add Selfie on the activity form before you save. You can also tap Take selfie on the Record tab to capture one on its own, or Add pit stop photo partway through an outdoor activity โ handy when you round a corner and the view is too good to skip.
Where do my photos end up?
You control how they're shared. Your Selfie sharing setting allows you to choose if selfies stay: private to you, visible to your private teams only, or included in the season-wide gallery.
Take a look at Settings and privacy to change what you share.
Can I save a photo to my phone?
Yes โ galleries have a download option, and we can save your selfies to your camera roll automatically. The Selfie saving setting decides whether that happens every time, never, or with a quick prompt.
Pets
Can I track my dog's miles?
You absolutely can. Open Pets from the menu and tap Create a new pet to add a name and photo. Once you've got one, a Pets section appears on the activity form โ check off whoever came along, and they'll show up on the activity in team feeds.
Every pet gets their own total distance, total time and activity trend. Yes, your dog has stats now.
My partner walks the dog too. Can we share?
Yes, and this is our favorite part. Every pet has a pet code โ tap it to copy, share it with anyone in your household, and they can paste it into the search box on their own Pets screen and tap Add to become a co-owner. From then on your pet's totals include every walk, whoever took them.
Scavenger hunts
How does a scavenger hunt work?
If your season has one, you'll see a grid of tiles on the Record tab. Tap a tile to add a photo matching that item โ tap a filled one again to swap or remove the photo. Once every tile is filled, tap Complete scavenger hunt to post your finished board.
Scavenger Gallery shows everyone else's boards, and people can react to yours and to individual photos. They're a good excuse to take a different route.
Friends
What are friends and sweats?
Tap the friends icon at the top left to send and accept friend requests. A sweat is a little nudge you send a friend โ a message, a GIF, or one of your activities. Each friendship builds its own streak based on how many days in a row you've both been moving, which is a surprisingly effective way to get someone off the couch.
