What is Fall Frenzy and how does it work?
Fall Frenzy is a flexible fitness challenge running from August 19 to October 31. Choose your goal (from 50K to 500K), track your progress in the app, and earn badges through themed bonus challenges.
Do I need to be a runner to participate?
Not at all! You can walk, bike, hike, push a stroller, garden, do yoga—anything that gets you moving counts. Our app offers a distance calculator to turn any activity into distance toward your goal.
Can I use a treadmill or indoor equipment?
Definitely! However you move, you can record it with the app. There’s even a special tracking mode for indoor activities, perfect for treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes.
What kinds of activities count toward my goal?
Over 30 activity types are supported, including walking, running, biking, kayaking, and more. You can mix and match or stick to one.
Is there a deadline to complete my goal?
Yes, all activities must be completed by October 31, 2025 to count in the challenge.
What are the bonus challenges?
Your Summer Splash registration includes exciting bonus challenges to help keep you motivated and moving. Each event will earn you a badge, and all of them count toward your overall progress toward your goal. Find out about the challenges as they happen in the Run Across America app.
The first bonus challenge is our namesake Run Across America 5K on June 7. If you've signed up for Summer Splash, you're already in for Run Across America. When you sign up for Run Across America 5K, we'll throw in the rest of Summer Splash. Either way, you're covered!

📝 Registration
How do I sign up?
To join—you first register on this site. After registration, you'll get an email with a unique code and instructions to download the Run Across America app that we use for the event. From there you can create a team and challenge friends to join you virtually.
Can I register my whole family or a group?
Yes! Add multiple registrations to your cart. Each participant will receive their own code and can track progress individually. You'll also be automatically joined to the same team to set a goal you can strive for together.

Can I gift a registration to someone else?
Absolutely! Just register using their name and email, and they’ll receive their own code to join the app.
Can I change my goal after registering?
Yes, you can update your goal anytime in the app during the season.
What does registration include?
Your $55 registration includes:
- Season-long access to the Run Across America app

What reward items can I choose from?
You’ll select one item during registration:
- Commemorative Medal – 4" stainless steel, full-color, custom cut by Ashworth Awards
- Super-soft Tee – Heather green, short sleeves, featuring the Fall mascot
- Comfy Hoodie – Bone-colored, heavyweight fleece (add $20)
You can add extra items for just $25 each ($45 for hoodie). Items ship at the end of the season.
Can I opt out of merchandise?
Yes! Choose the “No premium” option to participate without receiving a physical item.
When will I receive my shirt and other shipped items?
Most merchandise is shipped near the end of the season, so you have a reward waiting for you as you strive toward your goal. Rush handling is available on some items for an extra $5 to get early delivery; check for this option during signup.
Do you have other shirt sizes available? What about other products?
Registration comes with your choice of merch. Selections vary by season, but typically include a shirt, medal, and third item. Size choices are available during registration. Additional products are also available in our Merch shop.
💸 Discounts and Passes
How can I save money on registration?
The best way to save money is through our pass program:
- Season Pass program: You can purchase a registration with auto-renew for $50 per season (10% off for having auto-renew),
- Annual Pass program: You can choose to prepay for an annual pass for $220 for 5 seasons (like getting 5 seasons for the price of 4, or 20% off).
These options are available on the last step of the registration process before you add to cart.
Pro tip: you can stack the pass discounts with our Family Deal for even more savings: an extra 5% off when registering 2+ people, and 10% off for 4+

When do auto-renews process? Why is the date in this confirmation email weird?
Our subscription software hasn't caught up with how we do seasons, so it can appear a bit funky sometimes. By way of background: Run Across America has five seasons a year, timed to holidays:
- Spring (Mar/Apr/May)
- Summer (May/Jun/Jul/Aug)
- Fall (Aug/Sep/Oct)
- Holiday (Nov/Dec)
- Winter (Jan/Feb/Mar)
We like to think of this as "human-based" understanding of time and the seasons. Weather changes, holidays shift, and therefore the dates change a bit each year and aren't on a fixed schedule.
Unfortunately, our computers are not yet that sophisticated, so we manually override the charge dates to align to our seasons. The charges are roughly every 2.5 months, a few weeks before the next season begins. Before any renewal processes, we'll send you an email a few days before to confirm the amount and date of the upcoming charge, as well as a link to cancel if it's no longer the right fit for you.
How do I choose my merchandise each season with auto-renew or an annual pass?
You’ll receive an email each season with instructions to select your reward item.

Can my team work toward a shared goal?
Yes! You can set a team goal and track collective progress in the app. Invite friends, family, or coworkers to join.
How do I join or create a team?
You can join a team when registering, or after you've signed up. In the app, go to the Teams page. You can create a new team or join an existing one using a code from a friend.
