FAQs

The Run Across America app is a virtual race app that tracks your progress toward a seasonal distance goal and rewards you along the way. Pick a goal from 50 km to 500 km each season, track any of 56 activity types (running, walking, hiking, rolling, kayaking — even your dog's walks), and earn badges, streaks, and leaderboard spots as you go. Registration includes premium seasonal merch, and you can add an optional contribution to Feeding America that we match 100%. Track in the app directly, or import activities automatically from Strava or Apple Health.

Common questions about the app

What is the Run Across America app?

It's the tracking app for Run Across America's seasonal virtual challenges (Daily Distance). It records your activities, shows progress toward the seasonal goal you chose, connects you with teams, and awards badges and streaks — while contributions made at registration are matched 100% for Feeding America, with every $1 providing 10 meals.

How much does the app cost?

The app is included with event registration — currently $55 per season including premium merch, or save with the Daily Distance annual pass that covers every season of the year. There's no separate app subscription.

Does the app work with Strava?

Yes. Connect your Strava account and your activities import automatically to count toward your challenge. Apple Health import is supported too — see the tracking guide.

Does the app work with my treadmill?

Yes. Head to the Record page as normal, take a photo of your treadmill's display after your workout, and use the Manual tracker option to enter your time and distance with the photo attached.

My order had more than one registration. How do I get the other people set up?

If you had more than one registration on your order, we'll email the login information to the emails you provided for each person.
