Some of your best movement doesn't happen during a "workout." It's the steps you rack up walking the dog, pacing on calls, and getting through a busy day. With our latest app update, those steps now count.
Introducing the Daily Steps activity
Daily Steps is a new activity type built for exactly this. At the end of the day, grab the step count from your phone or watch and log it in seconds:
- Add an activity and choose Daily Steps.
- Enter your step count for the day.
- Pick the pace that best describes your day — Casual stroll, Average pace, Brisk walk, or Jog / Run.
The app converts your steps into miles (about 2,000 steps per mile at an average pace) and adds them to your challenge progress.
Small touches that make it easy
Daily Steps entries name themselves after the date, so your activity feed stays tidy without any typing. And if you go back to edit an entry, the app remembers the step count and pace you logged, so adjustments take seconds.
Every step you take moves your team down the road. Update to the latest version of the Run Across America app and log today's steps tonight.
